Office Manager

Monica brings a diverse mix of business experience and education to her role as office manager at ifPeople, and is pleased to have joined a company that shares her commitment to socially just and responsible values.  She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in history, and Georgia State University with a master's degree in history. (Why history?  "I was looking for answers to how people have contributed to making the world a better place throughout the past century.")  Before and during graduate school, she worked in human resources for a technology company servicing the pharmaceutical industry, where she was responsible for recruiting, training, employee communications, compensation, benefits, and more.  Prior to that, she spent a year working for a start-up "dot com" investment firm, supporting brokerage operations.  For the past two years, she has enjoyed teaching communication courses to university undergraduates.  When not working at ifPeople, Monica is pursuing a doctorate in communication, specializing in social movements and resistance, corporate rhetoric, and political economic discourse.
