Tirza graduated from Rice University with a degree in Biology and
Environmental Engineering. She also studied ethics and business law at
the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. Later, at the University of
Auckland in New Zealand she designed and conducted research projects on
ecosystem succession and environmental chemistry. As a Janus Fellow,
she traveled Egypt to investigate the management of water resources and
also participated in research on community resource management in
Ecuador, Thailand, and New Zealand. She helped found Red Puentes, of network
organizations working on Corporate Social Responsibility. Since then
she has helped international organizations develop web applications
that facilitate the development and success of their communitiesShe resides in Decatur, Georgia
with her husband and toddler.
