ifPeople is seeking an experienced Salesforce CRM Consultant to build customized databases that transform the effectiveness of businesses and nonprofits. Our ideal candidate brings to the table client-facing consulting experience and a rigorous technical understanding of Salesforce.com and database design. Candidates should desire to work for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and non-profit clients in an enterprise led by a fast-moving social entrepreneur in a work environment that fosters learning, leadership, and collaboration. Our team includes a distributed network of 12 people, including partners in South America that are part of FairSource (fair trade software development).

The CRM Consultant is responsible for partnering with clients on constituent relationship management (CRM) implementations, using the Salesforce.com platform in a manner that is collaborative and professional.  The CRM Consultant serves as an analyst, advisor, designer, configurator, implementor, and project manager for database migration assignments and works closely with our strategy and marketing consultants to design the appropriate solution for a client.  A successful candidate will have a proven track-record of successfully maintaining productive relationships with external clients in a consulting capacity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with SME and nonprofit and for profit customers to identify their CRM needs
  • Discover, document, and analyze key client business processes and how to map to Salesforce.com
  • Effectively plan and estimate time for CRM projects. Coordinate with staff on project management, scheduling and resource use
  • Analyze and migrate existing client data from various platforms: Access, Excel, Filemaker, Raiser’s Edge, ACT! etc.
  • Design, configure, and implement customized CRM databases on the Salesforce.com platform. 
  • Design and deliver training on use of Salesforce.com
  • Provide ongoing support for customers: report building, data quality, new integrations, etc.
  • Contribute to process improvements in conducting CRM engagements and working with clients and partners.
  • Contribute to development of a strategic vision of how CRM can generate benefits for our clients.
  • Contribute to the broader community by participating in forums, blogging, or writing white papers


Requirements:

  • At least 3 years experience with Salesforce/force.com, for marketing, sales and business process automation.
  • Experience in database design and administration
  • Experience in configuring and implementing Salesforce
  • Previously served in a consultant role, working with external clients
  • Working knowledge of integrating technology and business needs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Professionalism and courtesy in team and client interaction
  • Resourcefulness, flexibility, and creative energy
  • Strong ability to convey technical information to non-technical customers and good listening skills to translate in the other direction.
  • Strong collaboration skills, including ability to work with team members remotely; ability to lead and foster effective teams
  • Desire to contribute to a fun work environment
