Communications Intern
Are you a great writer who wants to get their work out their? ifPeople is seeking a tech savvy Communications Intern with working knowledge and experience using a wide range of new media platforms and tools.
The intern will be responsible for supporting external communication across platforms. The successful candidate will be a solid writer who can produce engaging, research based pieces in a variety of formats from 140 characters to an 8 page white paper.
Candidates should desire to work in an enterprise led by a fast-moving social entrepreneur in a work environment that fosters learning, leadership, and collaboration.
The qualified intern can expect to work 8-10 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
- Create bi-weekly blog posts on engagement, collaboration and a variety of other topics
- Review case studies and books and create presentations for the ifPeople team
- Collaborate with team to launch and maintain new media campaigns and longer-term initiatives
Requirements:
- Incredible writing skills that can be applied to both formal presentations and more informal blog writing and a strong sensibility about the difference
- Ability to follow oral instructions and work independently
- Comfort working with a variety of new media formats
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
Preferred:
- Commitment to working with mission-driven organizations
- Willingness to contribute to the broader community by participating in forums, blogging, or writing white papers
- Desire to contribute to a fun work environment
