Dear friends,
Summer's heat finally broke a little this week
in Atlanta, but we haven't let up in intensity here! As we are
supporting the launch of several client sites, we have also focused
on team building and internal improvements. We even upgraded
ifPeople.net to the latest version of Plone and made some small
improvements (can you spot at least 5 differences?). Gerry brought
back tons of lessons from the Agile 2008 conference (see below)
that we are still digesting, and our team is getting ready to share
our knowledge at upcoming events. Please read on to find out more. As
always, we would love to hear any of your comments!
Sincerely,
Chris & Tirza

Our partners have continuously played an integral role in this event and other efforts to increase awareness and access to free and open source software in Latin America. This year's presentations illustrate the depth of knowledge and breadth of skills our distributed team has to offer the wider community.

Report
on Agile Conference 2008
by Gerry Kirk, Project Manager &
Scrum Master
Continuous improvement is important to the success of ifPeople, which led me to Agile 2008, a massive gathering of 1,500 people there to learn and discuss techniques and technologies, attitudes and policies, research and experience, and the management / development sides of agile software development. The conference was organized like a music festival, with "stages" for key topics including Business Value, Distributed Agile, Quality, Leadership and Learning.
