A high level of community occurs where people feel secure, trusted, and connected and consider themselves partners in achieving a greater goal. First and foremost creating community is based on authentic communication. As organizations move more of their communication to Web based mediums, they are faced with challenge of creating community amongst teams of people who may never have a conversation in person.
We propose the following framework to understand the ingredients that make up a given online collaboration community and the provide a worksheet and questions to plan a collaboration in this way.
