ifPeople seeking a great Office Manager
ifPeople is seeking a motivated, organized, and experienced individual for an Office Manager at our Atlanta office. Candidates should desire to work in a enterprise led by a fast moving social entrepreneur with a work environment that fosters learning, leadership, and collaboration. Our team includes a distributed network of 20 people, with many located in South America that are part of FairSource (fair trade software development).

GetPaid Release Announced
This year, ifPeople cofounder Christopher Johnson has been leading an open source ecommerce project called GetPaid for Plone. His model of "social sourcing" was recently presented at the Plone conference in Italy, and now the product has its first release!

ifPeople has been an active leader in the Open Source software project GetPaid, as both a sponsor and organizer of the project. GetPaid, a flexible commerce platform for the Plone content management system, has garnered a sizable community already and demonstrates a modern approach to programming in Plone. ifPeople Announces Open Source Software Products
We are proud to announce that ifPeople has established a place to distribute its Free/Open Source Software projects. This infrastructure will allow for public download, browsing and also servicing for these products. We are releasing an initial set of products, with more to come!

Plone Southern Cone Group Launched!
The newest of the "official" groups (on plone.org) for Plone is also the first one that is a Spanish-language group. The group allows users from around the Southern Cone, and all Spanish-speaking regions, to collaborate. The group is seeking members, and we invite you to consider joining.
AWStats Offers Free and Powerful Web Site Statistics
AWStats, a built-in feature of your Plone web site, is a log analyzer which gives statistics and graphical information about visits to your web site. The information provided, which can be viewed at http://files.<domain name>/awstats/awstats.pl, is a great resource for tracking the traffic to your website and for quantifying the search engine optimization inherent in your Plone site.
Fourth Annual Sustainable Business Day in Atlanta
The fourth annual Sustainable Business Day (Georgia) will take place Thursday, January 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event, hosted by Georgia Conservation Voters and Sustainable Business Partners, will be held at the Georgia State Capitol and is intended to bring together state legislators and members of the community devoted to sustainable business practices. ifPeople will again be present and work to build the network of sustainable businesses in the region.
Online Marketplace Directory Upgrade
ifPeople would like to announce some exciting news about the web directory software used by many of our clients to create local marketplaces or feature a network of organizations: we have released several upgrades! There have been a number of changes made, new functionalities added which are sure to be very beneficial, and as usual updates to our documentation collection to help you understand and use these features.
Client Information: Extranet upgrade and login help
In December, we upgraded the ifPeople Client Extranet to the latest version of Plone in our efforts to improve our interactive space and take advantage of new tools in our internal work. The new system is available for your use, though you will need to make a short detour to your browser's cookies before passing "Go". Read on for a step-by-step guide to doing that and more on the new version of Plone.
King Day "On" and Office Reception Invite
Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr in Atlanta with the week's activities. ifPeople's team will be involved in a local volunteer project on Monday, January 15 and also invites you to a King Day Reception at our offices.
ifPeople Hosting Policies Updated
For the last four months, we have been working to transition ifPeople's hosting infrastructure and to improve the overall service. As part of that process, we have updated our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policies. These policies are effective immediately.
