Document Actions

For the third consecutive year, Sustainable Business Day will bring together government officials, congressmen and Georgian businesses committed to sustainable practices. ifPeople will once again attend the event to be held at the Georgia Capitol on Wednesday, January 25 from 8:30 am to 1 pm and join the over 15 innovative businesses that contribute to both the state’s economic growth and its environmental protection.

Following a successful second edition, the third edition of this event aimed at raising awareness about responsible business practices among policy-makers and the community at large promises to deliver sound political decisions. Pat Gardner, member of the Committee on Natural Resources and Environment, and Jeff Mullis, Chair of the Senate Economic Development Committee, will introduce resolutions in the House of Representatives and the Senate, respectively, supporting innovative businesses as crucial contributors to the preservation of natural resources and the state’s economic prosperity.

Sustainable Business Partners, a resource center for sustainable business involving companies that apply environmental protection criteria and good business practices while operating profitably, joins GA Department of Natural Resource's Pollution Prevention Assistance Division and Inspiring Futures in convening this year´s event. This 2006 edition will be attended by Georgian companies devoted to sustainable food provision, green design building, clean energies, recycling and environmental friendly technological solutions, among other fields of activity.
