Plone Southern Cone Group Launched!

by Admin last modified 2007-01-19 16:29

The newest of the "official" groups (on plone.org) for Plone is also the first one that is a Spanish-language group. The group allows users from around the Southern Cone, and all Spanish-speaking regions, to collaborate. The group is seeking members, and we invite you to consider joining.

As part of ifPeople's FairSource program, we promote the use of Free Software, such as Plone, in South America's Southern Cone. We generate entrepreneurial opportunities for groups leveraging such software and also deliver training in Plone and Zope. We are very pleased to see that a user group of Plone has developed on a regional level.

The term Cono Sur is common knowledge as a geographic cluster for Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. The goals of the new user group “Plone Cono Sur” is to foster regional cooperation to support the development of Plone. This group is open to all : public and private users, developers and SME.

We encourage Plone users and developers to visit http://plone.org/countries/conosur and signup for the mailing list.
