ifPeople Announces Open Source Software Products

by Admin last modified 2007-05-11 15:28

We are proud to announce that ifPeople has established a place to distribute its Free/Open Source Software projects. This infrastructure will allow for public download, browsing and also servicing for these products. We are releasing an initial set of products, with more to come!

At long last, we have public infrastructure to support the distribution of our open source software products (thanks to our amazing staffer, Josh)!

Browse source, learn more, or report issues at:
http://opensource.ifpeople.net

The site is set up with a basic instance of Trac and a public svn repository. We are launching the following Plone products in that space:
  • ATSuccessStory: create featured stories in your site. A portlet shows an image and summary and will rotate with each page load in the site. See it in action at SelfHelp
  • ifSearchUI: user interface improvements for the Plone search experience. See it at HSO.info
  • ifSearchMonitor: Track what terms are being searched and also make recommended results! See in action at HSO.info .
  • ifSearchSpellSuggest: Suggests spelling changes or alternatives to the search criteria. See in action at HSO.info.
We welcome your use of these products as well as any comments you might have! Contact us with questions or to let us know how you used these tools.
