ifPeople Leads Salesforce User Group Sprint to a New Site
ifPeople took the momentum from the January Nonprofit Salesforce User Group meeting a little bit further this month by inviting members to implement what they learned by building a website in one sitting! The website would be a new home for the user group - and integrate with Salesforce! Read on about how we took 18 people who had not worked together before through our entire process in just 3 hours!

ifPeople Helps 60 Atlanta Nonprofits Get Free Technology Help
This past week, ifPeople co-hosted an event that resulted in 60 Atlanta nonprofits getting free technology consulting! The volunteer event, part of the annual Nonprofit Technology Conference organized by NTEN, took place in Atlanta April 8-10. Over one hundred volunteers turned out to help the local nonprofits make better use of technology.

Mifos, an initiative of the Grameen Foundation, partnered with ifPeople to create an integrated website that connected developer, consultants, and microfinance institutions. We're excited to see that Mifos has won the Duke's Choice Award for Best Java Technology for the Open Source Community!
Leveraging the Web for More Effective Engagement: Alliance for Nonprofit Management Presentation

What's New With Plone
Recently, plone.org released four news items useful for users and developers alike. Veda Williams of ONE/Northwest published a book, Plone 3 Theming, exploring how to create and customize templates. Plone.org announced the new features for the upcoming Plone 4 release, scheduled in December. YES! Magazine launched a new Plone site that elegantly demonstrates the sophistication and usability of the system. And, finally, Plone posted videos from the 2008 Plone Conference in Washington DC.

ifPeople Launches "Go the Whole 9" Site in 10 Days
This September, St. Louis Arc partnered with ifPeople to develop a website for one of its programs, Go the Whole Nine. Designed to raise awareness of and prevent cases of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, this program convinces young people of the harmful effects of drinking during pregnancy. Most importantly, it asks them to pledge to have an alcohol-free pregnancy, or "go the whole nine" without drinking.
