ifPeople Announces Open Source Django Apps
ifPeople seeks to share the knowledge and tools it creates and sharing our software is one way to do that. In working with the Python-based Django platform, we have found that many small, useful bits are missing. This is our first rollout of generic Django apps to our Open Source repository.
ifPeople presents "social sourcing" at Plone Symposium NOLA
ifPeople's cofounder Christopher Johnson addressed the Plone Symposium in New Orleans (June 4, 2008) on fostering a collaborative open source community. The model, which was developed for leading the GetPaid for Plone project, combines an entrepreneurial spirit, collaborative design process, and facilitated communication with the traditional developer-led code-based work.

GetPaid Release Announced
This year, ifPeople cofounder Christopher Johnson has been leading an open source ecommerce project called GetPaid for Plone. His model of "social sourcing" was recently presented at the Plone conference in Italy, and now the product has its first release!

GetPaid, a flexible commerce platform for the Plone content management system, has garnered a sizable community already and demonstrates a modern approach to programming in Plone.
