Advanced Search
In the personal bar, click directory setup, later on this page click on Advanced Search (in Maintain Businesss Records box), and this would lead you to a page with two separated search forms in it. Both forms are independents, so the data entered in each one will not affect the other form.
The first form has two text input fields that permit the user to search according to:
- Product/Service: The user enters free form text, which is used to search across the business description, industry and product and services description of all listed businesses.
- Company Name: The user enters free form text, which is used to search across the business names of all listed businesses.
If both fields are filled in the result will contain businesses that match both criteria.
Note: it's possible to use ZCatalog Search Syntax in both fields to improve the searches. Please refer to ZCatalog Search Syntax.
For each searchable customized field that the network had set there will be a checkbox for filtering businesses also according to this criteria.
The search Results are alphabetically ordered, and paged in sets to 20 businesses maximum. At the bottom, a minimal search form is included containing last data entered, so the user can repeat its search adjusting the keywords used to search.
If the directory administrators had configured it, you will also see:
- Industry/Keyword drop-down list.
- Country drop-down list (only for world wide directories).
Selecting an industry/keyword or country will filter the results for businesses that have that industry/keyword or country.
The second form is identical to Search for Businesses by Distance.
