Search for Businesses by Distance

A simple search of all business listings, ordered by distance from a specified zip code.
This feature provides the public ability to search for companies listed in it filtered by distance to some given point (in zip code format).
To do so, from the directory setup you can click on Search for businesses by distance (in Maintain Businesses Records box) link that will lead you to a search form. In the form you'll have to write a zipcode which will indicate the point from where to search, and the max distance to it. For asking for all businesses you must left blank both fields. If not distance is provided, the result will contain all businesses but ordered according the distance to the given point, and the results will show how far each result is from the given point.
If the directory administrators had configured it, you will also see:
- Industry/Keyword drop-down list.
- Country drop-down list (only for world wide directories).
Selecting an industry/keyword or country will filter the results for businesses that have that industry/keyword or country.
If a valid zipcode is given, the results will be ordered according to distance to that point, otherwise alphabetically. The results are paged in sets of 20 businesses. At the bottom, a search form is included containing the last data entered.
As most of the searchs, if the map is configured you can view the search results in the map
The results will never include individuals, or pending businesses.
