Add Industries

This functionality offers the possibility of adding new industries to existent directories without needing a developer creating code and running scripts. Anyway, it must be used carefully to not to cause problems. Problems may arise when introducing an empty id, when an id is already in use or by leaving the name field empty.

For adding a new industry, you need to have a zmi manager user account. You must put the following url in your browser:

directory_url/data/industries/manage_addProduct/ProjectName/manage_addIndustryForm

where directory_url is the url of the directory to add the new industry, and ProjectName should be one (for example) of ifDirectory, Balle, LTADirectory, NatawakeDirectory, etc.

You will see a small form asking for:

• id: the id for the new industry, only use letters and numbers
• name: The industry name to be shown everywhere
• parent id: (optional for sub industries) The id of the parent industry in the hierarchy. Be careful with upper and lower cases.
